Yesterday I experienced the incredible power of networking and using LinkedIn to make business connections. I identified a company that I wanted to make contact with. Went to LinkedIn and searched to see if any of my connections- had connections at the company.
I found that a fairly new connection (we met only two weeks ago), knew the CEO of this company. I emailed her and asked for a referral. Heard back in an hour.. she agreed. Wrote another email, she forwarded it and 3 hours later, I received a call from the target company ready to set up an appointment. Wow!!
Conversely….I ran in to a prior colleague at a Yoga class the other day, who is in sales and I suggested we Link-In. He said that he wasn’t on LinkedIn. What!!! Huh!!
