Get A Clue! CRM Sales Alerts From InsideView

In an earlier blog post I wrote about the increasing popularity of Sales Trigger and Event services for salespeople. I think they’re very cool!

Last week, when I attended the Sales 2.0 conference in Boston, I got a chance to spend time at the vendor booth for InsideView, which is a “sales intelligence application” that you overlay (also called “mashing-up”) onto your existing CRM application.

What InsideView does is automatically monitor thousands of data sources to uncover information about your target companies or prospects that is relevant in your selling process- then delivers alerts to your salespeople via their CRM or email.

This includes information from traditional data sources like company websites and press releases as well as new data sources like blogs, Facebook and Twitter posts. InsideView also gathers and aggregates profile and contact info from ZoomInfo, Hoovers, Jigsaw, LinkedIn and other sources, identifies what is most updated, then serves the contact information to your Salespeople. No more tedious, manual look-ups!

Additionally, InsideView has a unique Smart Connections technology, which uncovers relationships between the Sales Rep and the company decision makers through colleagues, previous employers and other customers. Kind of like a supercharged, automated LinkedIn search.

The Sales 2.0 conference, onsite sales person from the company, Rob Wright, spent about 15 minutes walking me through the application and I was impressed with how it seamlessly integrated with Salesforce.com and was extremely easy to view and use. InsideView is also compatible with Oracle, Microsoft and other leading CRM apps.

I also learned that there are three version of their product: SalesViewFree, SalesViewPro and SalesView Team, so your business can try the product first, without making the full investment.

Check out their product demo. SalesView delivers “The WHO, WHAT and WHEN of sales, WHERE you need it most.”

  1. A colleauge of mine introduced a sales trigger app to his salesforce and has gotten rave reviews. The technology saves reps a significant amount of time that they would have spent manually searching for information. I agree- “very cool”.

  2. Hi Marci

Great to read about these kind of new techniques that you have embraced. These new offerings account for some of the most important elements in the sales 2.0 world.

Another company worth checking out is SalesFuel. I believe they were one of the originators of “trigger events”. Also, they integrate with many of the same social networks as you mentioned and the scaleability and integration of the CRM is extensive.
